futz (v.): to pass time in idleness
started over at our scribbld home, futz moved to ij as a continuation of the fun that was started over there but hindered by certain technical issues! a first-come, first-served community, we pride ourselves in having fun but still playing accurate, well-rounded characters. the rules of a celebrity community are pretty straightforward, but just in case you need refreshing:
1. you must have an aim screen name and username related to your character's name - nothing ooc! yes, aim names are required. if you'd like to create a facebook and/or twitter and/or tumblr as well, that's obviously fine, too, but not required.
2. please have a recent friends-only post in your journal when you join. if you don't post in the intros community within 3 days (72 hours) of joining, you will be considered doa and removed. the update limit is three weeks, and we are pretty flexible on content. as long as you show some effort, we have no paragraph or word count requirement. a list, an interview, a mixtape, or a traditional update (or anything else!) is fine, just so long as you supplement this with activity on aim, subcommunities, comments, and elsewhere. if you've shown no sign of life and it's been two weeks since your last update, you may be overridden or removed. finally, if you need to take a hiatus or want to request an extension, you may do so at the proper post in this journal.
3. finally, keep ooc and ic separate. everyone should know how to do this but if you don't, you'll be warned if you're found crossing that line. we want everyone to have fun here and not worry about who someone is behind their character, who else they play, or anything else.
